Look before you invest

Today at the workshop we learned about organizations. We learned why it is important to look at a organisation numbers before making an investment. We learned to look at tax returns to see how well the company has  been doing. I feel like this homework assignment on looking into companies is going to be fun.

Paper Bag Exersise

Today at the main street philanthropy workshop we did a very interesting workshop. Each member of out team brought a paper bag with three things they thought was most important. One of the my members brought a Monster Drink. To him it is an essential part of his every day life. Another member brought a bracelet that was given to her from  her mother, that was passed on from her grandmother. Today we also created  a team mission statement, a purpose and a vision. We wanted to serve and help the future kids and teens to grow up in a world with arts and music.I hope we encounter organizations who are willing to help out with our cause.                                                                               

MAD Cards

When a guy from Main Street Philanthropy walked in my business class i knew something good was going to come out of it. The first exercise we did was something with some cards called the MAD (Make a difference). With exercise i learned form myself that i love animals, and that some days i would like to open a foundations to help animals. I learned about others that they can love music and are or helping other enough to someday open foundations or donating money to help that cause. I hope to one day be able to learn about sharing money to the less fortunate.
